Instructors
Sensei CJ
When I was a child taking my first karate lesson, I never would have thought it would have turned into such a huge part of my life. But a few instructors over the years, instilled lessons and a skill set, into a new martial art school opening in the Lehigh Valley. “Be who you needed when you were younger” - Ayesha Siddiqi.
I started at Lehigh Valley Martial Arts when I was 5 years old. We would travel for tournaments, demonstrations, and we created a group of friends that were inseparable.
I earned my first black belt at age 12 at Lehigh Valley Martial Arts, proceeded to train in kung fu and tai chai. Missed the harder style of karate, traveled to Leading Edge Karate to continue training. As a starter job I joined the LEK team as a teenage helper. I received 1st Degree Black Belt in 2008. As I climbed my way through the ladder as a helper, I was promoted to Joshu (Assistant Instructor) at age 20. I tested for 2nd degree in the summer of 2012 at which time I was promoted to Deshi(Sensei in training). I pursued a change in careers for a small time but continued to teach a few classes a week. I trained at other places in different styles continuing to expand my knowledge base and keep my skills sharp. I came back full circle in 2018 and found my way back to teaching full time. In early fall of 2019, I was promoted to Sensei (Instructor). I currently work for my father as a brick laborer and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to work with my dad. While I was still giving back to LEMA, teaching when I could, and giving back to my community, in the late summer of 2023, I was promoted to 3rd degree black belt.
With all of these accolades packed under my belt, I was still missing one huge goal I set for myself since I was a child, being a martial arts dojo owner. With this always in the back of mind, I started developing my own curriculum from what I’ve learned over the years from different places, people, and styles, of which I feel like would be easy to learn, yet challenging, exciting, and easy to implement into a self-defense situation for the ‘if’ in life.
With my background above and the meaning behind why I opened Viper Martial Arts, I invite you reach out and start your journey of the martial arts.
